Concerts For Our Own – EXODUS: Bob Marley Tribute
The Joy of Music School has been selected as a beneficiary of this year’s Concerts For Our Own productions! Come join us for this exciting concert series and help bring quality music education to students in the Knoxville community! Tickets start at $35.
Honored with awards from industry peers, Lazo was chosen as the Top Reggae Performer of the Year from the internationally recognized Canadian Reggae Music Awards and along with many Juno (Canadian equivalent to the Grammy) nominations; he garnered a Juno Award in 2000 for Best Reggae Recording for his “Heart and Soul” CD. The optimism shared from his beautiful composition, “Love Is on Your Side” captured a Juno nomination as did another album “Something Real” in 1995.
“Exodus’ reggae music is infectious, it is a virus that spreads instantly through everyone listening. Its symptoms include perma grin, an uncontrollable urge to dance, and an overall sense of well-being.”
“I recently saw Lazo’s show and can honestly say that after seeing many tributes from several different agencies, Exodus is definitely one of the best. Superb musicianship and great stage presence.”
