Lisa Muci Eckhoff
Ms. Muci Eckhoff is a respected music educator, violinist, and arts administrator who brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as Strings Program Lead at the Joy of Music School. Ms. Muci Eckhoff previously served as Head of the Violin Department at Knoxville’s Community School of the Arts where her students won youth orchestra auditions and music scholarships. As an administrator, she was Program Director and Acting Executive Director for Arts Partners of Wichita, and Affiliate Director of Kansas Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning through the Arts. She also designed the Summer Strings Camp presented by the Oak Ridge Civic Music Association where she was Executive Director. Ms. Muci Eckhoff is currently a violinist, mentor, and MPower Grant recipient in the Sphinx Symphony Orchestra (MI), and she performs locally in the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra and the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra. She was a core violinist in the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra for 20 years, during which time she and her string quartet colleagues were continually requested to perform creative and interactive in-school performances for children throughout East TN.
Ms. Muci Eckhoff has degrees from Northwestern University and Wichita State University, with professional learning opportunities completed at Harvard Graduate School of Education and Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute.
