Michael loves to play the piano – and play he does! His early progress has been exemplary, so much so that he quickly outgrew his electronic keyboard we had given him to practice on. With that kind of trajectory we placed a restored acoustic spinet piano in his home to help him continue his studies. Go get ’em Michael!
Michael began in our general music class and now studies piano with a Joy of Music School volunteer teacher. Michael is a home-schooled fourth grader, and lives in Sevierville. He and his mom regularly make the trip into Knoxville for his piano lessons along with his twin sister, also a piano student.
Michael’s mother says that the family really enjoys playing the piano and that they are, “so touched by the person who donated it and worked at getting it restored to such a great condition.”
We are watching Michael closely as he advances and we couldn’t be prouder!
